Waterfront The Red Camp at Lake Bistineau About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets.Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries began the annual drawdown to control the salvinia weed on July 29. There is always water in view of the house and we drag the kayaks to the water's edge to use them. It is also fun to walk in the lake bed once it is dry1Also, check our Shades of Blue house right next door if you need space for a larger group!
