Another of our historic cottages, this four bedroom was built in the early 1800's and was used as a Confederate Army Hospital while in Atlanta, GA. It was moved to Mountain Joy Cottages sometime around 1984. The original logs are exposed in the living room as well as the two downstairs bedrooms giving this cottage a real log cabin feel.Originally the homestead of Maggie Setzer, for whom Maggie Valley was named, the land that Mountain Joy sits is a special place. You will become enchanted with it’s mountain charm, family atmosphere and character.
