Authentic log cabin selected by the state of Maine for use in their winter activity advertising campaign in 2019. It is located on a private island on North Pond in Woodstock, Maine just south of the quaint mountain village of Bethel. The log cabin was built by Stanley Foss Bartlett around the mid 30's He was a poet and author of Maine woods stories. He had three books published which can be bought on the internet. This island is perfect for vacationers that want to be off the grid without electricity, but not too far! A dock and two parking spaces are provided on the mainland and a dock for access to the island. This pond is connected to both Round Pond and South Pond. These ponds are ideal for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, peddle boating, water skiing and fishing. Pretty spots on the Island for sunbathing and a place for swimming.
