About this property

Located in Canyon, Idaho, United States. Doves Rest Cabins - Goodnight cabin on the west rim Our most private and secluded Doves Rest Cabin. This amazing stone cabin is named in honor of Charles Goodnight, the legendary cattle rancher and inventor of the old-west chuckwagon. Goodnight took advantage of available grass, timber, and water near this cabin, and in 1876 founded what was to become the first Texas Panhandle ranch – the JA Ranch at Palo Duro Canyon. One of the best features of the fantastic view from this cabin is the interplay of sights of high and low mesa steeps on how Charles Goodnight entered the canyon with hundreds of Longhorn cattle. Located a mere 100-feet from the state park boundary, Goodnight Cabin is the perfect for the most discriminating guests who enjoy interweaving historical perspectives of the old-west with the modern luxury of a Doves Rest Cabin.CHECK IN – 3PMCHECK OUT – 11AMQUIET HOURS 10pm-7amSMOKING INSIDE – NOT ALLOWEDPARTIES AND EVENTS – NOT ALLOWED WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVALCHILDREN – ALLOWEDI
