It was built in 1862 (during the Civil War), complete with the Grave of Pvt Nicholas Burton a Union Soldier who died in Battle. The house was recently renovated to be a comfortable home with all the modern conveniences but still retains its historic nature. If you are looking for a modern, motel room like place to stay with a king size bed and wide screen TV, then the cottage is not for you. A half-acre site assures quiet and privacy. It has three bedrooms (two with double beds and a bunk room), two baths, washer and dryer, zoned electric heat and four room air conditioners, satellite TV, VCR, and DVD players.
