The house is designed to offer privacy; a separate apartment on the bottom floor has it's own kitchen, bath and sitting area, and the bedrooms are situated on the first floor so that grandparents, or visiting friends, can have a little peace and quiet, even with kids running around. This charming Cape house is within walking distance of everything. You don't need to get into your car to go to the general market, restaurants, galleries, Mayo Beach, shops or, most importantly, the ice cream shop. The house is airy and light, but cozy. There is great cross ventilation, so it never seems hot, even in August. We have significantly renovated the house for 2016, so that it combines the best of a traditional cape house, but has been spruced up: we have reshingled, repainted, and have a newly revamped bathroom.
