Great hiking trails abound and winter ski resorts are a 20-30-min drive.On the east side of Big Blue you will look out into the forest from the 400 sq ft deck with a BBQ grill and patio table for outdoor meals. In the mornings sunrises filter through the Red American Oak and Shagbark Hickory trees, growing down a forest embankment leading to Plattekill Creek with a bridle path along it for secluded walks. You'll see deer and foxes and chipmunks scurrying around and the occasional black bear lumbering around.
