The Coho Cabin sits just steps away from Alaska’s famous inside passage in the idyllic town of Coffman Cove. The Cove is located on the northeast coast of the breathtakingly beautiful Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. The area is well known as a fisherman’s paradise. Salmon runs are abundant throughout the summer and into the early fall. Halibut, cod, and yellow eye are caught regularly just a few minutes from the docks. Delicious Dungeness crabs and spotted shrimp are prolific in the waters around the Cove (we have pots available for use). The nearby rivers and lakes are popular for freshwater fishing. The Lodge makes an ideal base for hunting black bear and the Sitka black tail deer in the fall. You can rent a boat for a self-guided adventure or hire a local guide.All the community amenities are within walking distance of the Lodge, including a well-stocked convenience store and restaurant, a local watering hole
