It offers excellent swimming and easy shore access for people and dogs, with a canoe for guests to use. The cabin is 600 square feet plus a loft, with large windows and skylights: plenty of natural light regardless of the weather. Situated 10 minutes from the larger town of Machias (pronounced Ma-CHAI-us), the cabin is convenient to a full-service supermarket, several hardware and outdoor supply stores, a handful of restaurants, a hospital with a 24-hour emergency room, and many small businesses. The original cabin was built in 1998 and was very rustic, with no running water or electricity, and recently underwent an extreme makeover.
