Twenty miles north of the Mackinaw Bridge, we are in the middle of the Hiawatha National Forest on a small inland lake. Yet we are close enough to freeway and local attractions, to return to civilization whenever the mood strikes. Please note: Read through the Rental Contract for more details on this listing.The lake is a shallow lake good for kayaking,(3 kayaks are included as is a rowboat), canoeing, and fishing. We are surrounded by forest and wildlife. It is not uncommon to see wolves, bears, and on a rare occasion moose. The lake has 3 pair of nesting loons, that fill the air with the pristine sound of nature. Great spot for birding. If you love birds you will be in paradise.
