On the grounds are 45 holes of golf on three championship golf courses designed by Scots for the Lake Placid Club. The golf course is criss-crossed with hiking trails to the mountains, and in the winter has groomed cross country ski trails. Walk from the house to the Cobble Hill trailhead for a great loop hike with wonderful views of the peaks! The shops and restaurants of Lake Placid are a short and pleasant walk. There is a nearby beach (less than 1/4 mile walk) on Mirror Lake for great swimming and boating. With a car, skiing at the Olympic Mountain of Whiteface is 15 minutes away.
