The Gove Schoolhouse

Located in Ada, Wisconsin, United States. The Gove Schoolhouse Experience the unique opportunity to stay in a 170+ year old Schoolhouse! Built in 1852, The Gove School served many students and the local community for years. In addition to education, this small building was used for church gatherings, PTO meetings, clubs, and more. The school officially closed in the 1960s and was renovated into a home. We decided to purchase the Gove School in spring of 2022, and embarked on our renovation journey to bring back its historical charm.The Schoolhouse boasts unique history, timeless design + modern amenities. With the original hardwood floors, curated antique pieces, wall engraved initials from past students, high ceilings, and tall windows that let natural light flood in. The space has two bedrooms–one with a queen and the other with a full bed. There is one bathroom on the main floor. The stairs take you up to the bright and airy loft with 4 built- in twin XL beds.
