If you don't know it already the Buffalo area is chuck full of old west history there are a multitude of historic sites to visit near by, there’s the Little Bighorn battlefield, Fort Kearney historic site or the Jim Gatchell museum, Occidental hotel and saloon built in 1880 with the likes of Buffalo Bill Cody and Theodore Roosevelt passing through it's doors at one time. the beautiful Johnson county courthouse built in 1884 still serves as it did when built.
