The cabin is a short scenic drive west of Boulder, Colorado and only two miles from the quaint and colorful mountain town of Nederland, CO. Built in the early 1900's, our house was the baggage depot which serviced the historic, Switzerland Trail Railroad. The cabin sits at approximately 8600 ft., is south facing, adorned with a lot of glass, great natural light and is passive solar. It is located off a county dirt road, providing easy winter access, situated in a lovely riparian valley, surrounded by Boulder County Open Space and the Roosevelt National Forest. We remolded this historic cabin in the late 1990's, but not without first falling in love with the wonderful character and imperfections of this turn of the century structure.
