Comfortable Home On 3 Private Wooded Acres In The Heart Of Mount Desert Island We built our home in 2004, cut from over 3 acres of woods in the heart of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. It sits 1 mile north of Somes Sound, and is within easy reach of hiking, biking, carriage roads, boat tours, and all of the shopping and restaurants to be found in the several quaint towns on the island. We created our space to gather and connect with family and friends, and hope that you enjoy it, too. Our home sleeps eight easily. The master bedroom has a king bed and is located on the main floor. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the 2nd floor. The kitchen is fully-appointed to help you create memorable meals; dine inside on our farmhouse table, or eat on the deck. We also maintain a lovely kitchen garden, and welcome guests to pick what they need to round out their meals - it would be a shame for fresh produce to go to waste!
