At an elevation of 2200 feet temperatures will be 10-20 degrees cooler than the flat lands depending upon the season. Cabin is located in the middle of heavily wooded 1.28 acres near Lake Santeetlah and surrounded by Nantahala National Forest behind the cabin. USFS maintains a boat launch area 1/2 mile downhill from cabin.Our well appointed 1-story cabin has NO stairs to climb and is wheel-chair accessible, a rarity in the mountains. It has 2 large bedrooms (king & queen beds) and 2 baths; plus queen sleeper sofa & single roll-away
