The steps down to the beach are shared with our sister cottage next door. You will have the privacy of a house and will be directly across the river from Historic Jamestowne and Williamsburg. You can see Historic Jamestowne from the house.The James River here at the cottage is tidal water and is clean. The tide comes in and goes out very slowly, so it is great for children to play in. It is partly salty and partly freshwater. There is not a drop-off.There are no houses behind the house. The house is down a 0.4 mile lane so there is no traffic noise.The free car ferry belongs to the VA Department of Transportation and runs 24 hours a day. The ferry dock on this
