Both directions give generous opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and wildlife viewing (including whales, seals, and puffins!). Nearby, there are hiking trails on Great Wass Island. Amble down to the fishing wharf and buy fresh caught Maine lobster or clams for your dinner. Go three miles north where public access is provided to walk the beautiful Sandy River Beach.
