GVR is a totally renovated, raised cottage in Galveston's historic East End, one block from Seawall Blvd and a short walk to the Pleasure Pier. It is perfect for Houstonians looking to get away for a long weekend, for visitors wanting a one-week summer vacation, and for our snowbirder friends who often come to the Island for a month or longer. We have many guests who are associated in one way or another with UTMB, many from the LGBTQ community, and many who like the idea that they can bring their dog along with them. (Sorry, NO cats).We have welcomed visitors from across Texas and the US, from Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
