Cataract Falls Lodge and Wedding Veranda

Located in Spencer, South Dakota, United States. Cataract Falls Lodge and Wedding Veranda Early in the 1950’s a woman named Agnus Stucky owned the the Lodge and surrounding area including the Cataract Falls. Recognizing the magnitude and responsibility to operate and maintain such a grand property she sold the falls to the State of Indiana but kept the lodge as her home. She lived at the lodge and operated the property as a resort for guests visiting the magnificent falls. The lodge itself was was at the center of the small resort with a dozen or so small cabins around the lodge. As time marched on the cabins and lodge itself fell into disrepair and the property was divided up into lots and sold off. Since then each cabin either fell down or became uninhabitable and was removed leaving nothing of the resort except the Indiana Limestone structure now recognized as the Cataract Falls Lodge.
