Observe the distant islands in the Gulf of Maine, including magnificent Monhegan Island. Watch lobster boats bring in their tasty catch. The cottage is just a few steps from the Rachel Carson Salt Pond Nature Preserve. Other short walks (~1/2 mile) along the ocean will bring you to lovely Long Cove Point, or to New Harbor, an active fishing harbor with a lobster pound and restaurant, and the Hardy Boat cruises.A 5 minute drive will get you to Pemaquid Beach-- a real gem in Midcoast Maine, or to the famed Pemaquid Point Lighthouse-- the scene of choice for the Maine quarter.We invite you to enjoy a quiet, relaxing vacation, in the cool, summer sea breezes.
