We are walking distance to the quaint town of Belgrade Lakes (where the author of the iconic book/movie “On Golden Pond” summered) where you can visit the farmers market or grab some ice cream at Days county store. Our lake is part of a chain of 7 pristine lakes, known for its ideal swimming, boating, canoeing and some if the best fishing in New England. Our cottage sits next to a waterfall that spills out into the lake and only STEPS away from the quaint Village of Belgrade Lakes. Roll out of bed to grab that cup of coffee/paper at the famed “Days Country store”, walk to the farmers markets on Sunday’s, or a nice stroll to shop or dine at some of our local Maine made shops and restaurants. Belgrade is also home to award wining 5 star golf course, and many hiking and walking trails along the many mountains
