Very peaceful and somewhat secluded. Lots of wildlife: we see elk, deer, and turkey on the property, and have heard mountain lions, and seen evidence of bear. When in season we have several varieties of visiting hummingbirds. Bring your 4 wheelers, bikes, and skies. In the winter there is a nearby (5 mile) ski area; ice-skating in the village; tubing and sledding hills on the property. Ruidoso and White Sands are about 40 miles away. Trail maps for hiking and riding in the vicinity, including maps of Lincoln National Forest are available. Restaurant and shopping guide in the village (Cloudcroft, 7 miles away).
