Located in Central City, South Dakota, United States. Historic retreat with panoramic view walk to downtown This property was built in1869 and was the St. Luke’s Hospital for a short time. It was in terrible shape when we purchased it so unfortunately nothing could be salvaged in the interior of the house but most of the exterior is original. We purchased the home in 2003 and completely remodeled the interior with all modern conveniences. There are three comfortable bedrooms. The bathrooms are one full with a claw foot tub and a half bath off the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped that any cook would enjoy. The large patio outside has a great sitting area to relax and appreciate the view or you can sit on the front porch among the Aspen trees. The house is located on a quiet dead end street but you are only a 5 minute walk to the Casinos or Opera House in Central City. There is off street parking which is a huge plus since the roads are narrow and steep in places. Loveland and Eldora Ski resorts are a 30 minute drive.
