CLASSIC COLUMBIA COUNTY FARMHOUSE Our place is a bright and airy 1893 farmhouse in the hamlet of Livingston, a scenic farm village in southern Columbia County, two hours and fifteen minutes north of New York City, and 15 minutes from Hudson, Germantown, Red Hook, and Catskill. The house sits on a shaded 2-acre parcel of open land that is dominated by an enormous 250-year-old maple tree. The exterior is freshly painted and landscaped.In warm weather, there is a glorious screen porch directly off the dining room that is set up for sitting and dining, along with a newly-built deck that runs along the entire back of the house.
