Fun Facts about this house: The Majestic Mountain Haus was built in 1971 using wood and beams from one of the oldest churches in Rowan County, North Carolina, that was dismantled in the early 1970s. The bar in the den was the original ticket counter in the train station of the steam-powered Best Friend of Charleston train. It was the first locomotive train built in the United States and had its inaugural run in 1830!*** Majestic Mountain Haus does not have Air Conditioning. (Enjoy cool mountain breezes above 4000 feet in elevation.) ***** There is space to park two (2) cars. Additional parking is possible across from the Town of Beech Mountain Town Hall. This lodge has modern comforts and amenities, as well as original/pre-original elements and decor. Together, they offer a unique yet charming mountain vacation experience.
