When my brother and I were young, it wasn't uncommon to find a new face in the house. Mom & Dad were hosts long before short term rentals were a thing! These folks, just discharged from the hospital, would stay with us for a short time before heading home farther away. Mom & Dad would provide them with a little extra nursing care because it was the right thing to do. From their example, we learned hospitality at very young ages. Btw…Mom & Dad lived here for nearly 40 years. They are now living nearly responsibility free across town in a retirement community!
