On the 'quietside' of Mount Desert Island, close to busy Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, the third floor Loft at the Boat House Cottage offers a panoramic view of the working harbor. This modern air-conditioned apartment faces the setting sun while the skylights illuminate the living area and bedroom at dawn. The double doors lead to the private balcony with seating for two. Watch the eagles, hummingbirds and loons. The Loft also has a Vermont Castings gas log fireplace and flat-screen television, a modern basic kitchen, full shower tub combination bath and a skylight bedroom with two double beds, and electric fireplace. Mosey down to the water's edge and watch the tide come and go. Bring your kayaks and launch with the tide or visit Acadia's Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse.
