Posh Log Cabin in Blue Ridge Mountain View 4 bedroom + Lookout Perch Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by an award-winning Virginia Century Farm of apples, peaches, and cherries lies the Cabin at the Orchard. We have been granting families and students with day trips to experience what farming entails for over 100 years, and now offer a serene and scenic getaway in the middle of the great outdoors. Our first log was selected in 1987, from pine trees on our family property in the Appalachian Mountains, and over the years, tree by tree was added until the frame bestowed the historic style of white chinked logs in 1991. We furnished the house with objects from the past as well as the present, to link all the history of the land we built our cabin on, and pay homage to all the people, past and present, that have influenced it over the years.
