This building dates back to 1891 and 1905. The oldest portion of the building first served as a tavern and the 1905 section of the building was built to be a hardware store known for many years as Gerhart's Hardware. The street-level portion of the building currently houses '"Hello Dolly"', a delightful gift and apparel shop, and 'Shannon's Yoga and Fitness', a great place to drop in and catch a work-out while vacationing. After you enter the unassuming door on the street level of 2nd Street and climb a short flight of stairs, you will be pleasantly surprised to find two of the loveliest vintage apartments in all of downtown Algoma!
