This is a great basecamp while exploring all that Alpine and Big Bend have to offer. Marfa and Fort Davis are short drives away with beautiful scenery in between.This location is not suitable for children under 12.This old adobe sits on land, once part of the W.B.Hancock Ranch which was located just East of the original townsite of Alpine, Texas. After decades of witnessing cowboy and ranch life, this quiet old adobe was on land to be annexed into the town, after Mr. Hancock gave 100 acres for the establishment of Sul Ross State College on “Hancock Hill”.
