The home is an easy 20 - 25 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs and 35 minutes to Joshua Tree Visitor Center. Coachella, Morongo, and Agua Caliente are also nearby. The home is in a nice part of up and coming Desert Hot Springs, a small city just north of Palm Springs. Familiar grocery and fast food restaurants are mere minutes away. There are plenty of family owned restaurants with good food for take out or dine in if you're OK with the typically humble ambiance.
