The East Hampton train station is a 5 minute walk away, and the bus stop for the Hampton Jitney, the hourly bus to and from NYC, is about a ten minute walk.Although it's ideal to have a car to explore the entire East End (including Montauk and Shelter Island), the house is so close to village amenities, you can walk to all the best restaurants, including Nick & Toni's, Fresno, 1770 House, Sam's, and Rowdy Hall. Just down the street is Mary's Marvelous, a great spot for morning coffee and muffins or sandwiches for the beach.There are two village grocery stores and several specialty food stores.
